US raises hopes of a breakthrough in Iran nuclear negotiations

There are new hopes of a breakthrough in negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program. Washington has now indicated its willingness to discuss returning to a nuclear deal with Tehran through indirect negotiations in the Austrian capital Vienna.

An international agreement reached in 2015 aimed to limit Iran’s nuclear activities. The Trump administration unilaterally pulled out of the deal three years ago.

Iran has recently resumed enriching uranium to well above the deal’s limit.
