Indonesia’s health care system near breaking point

Over the past few weeks, Indonesia has become the epicenter of the pandemic in Asia. And just this weekend, the country recorded the highest number of daily deaths in the world. And infections peaked at more than 50,000 cases a day.

Those are the official figures, but experts say there are far more cases – people simply aren’t being tested enough.

The worst seems to have passed, but case numbers remain very high. The country is hardly out in the clear.
