Renegade military commander Khalifa Haftar has announced his bid for next month’s Libyan presidential race. He had announced in September he would temporarily step down as the leader of the self-styled Libyan National Army. Haftar headed the eastern-based group and waged war against the internationally recognised government after the country split in 2014. Al Jazeera’s Malik Traina has more.
