The United States just celebrated its Independence Day on July 4, but many Americans today are having trouble enjoying that independence as racial tensions, gun violence and controversial court decisions are creating an America that many are having trouble recognizing. What are these dark issues in America today? What are the deeper factors driving these tensions? And most importantly: Where could they lead the country – and the world – if not corrected?
