‘Radical Islam’ to blame for Salman Rushdie stabbing

The stabbing of author Salman Rushdie was a “pretty clear case” of Islamism being used to attack someone simply for exercising their freedom of speech, says Spiked Online’s Brendan O’Neill.

“And simply for writing a novel in 1988,” Mr O’Neill said.

“Our leaders should be speaking out about this far more forcefully.

“They should be mentioning the problem of radical Islam which poses a great menace to free societies.”
